The lory garden is inhabited by small, brightly coloured parrots. These rainbow lorikeets live in Australia and Indonesia. On entering the garden the lories will be easy to spot. Usually they will come flying towards the visitors, which always results in a show of colours.
At the ticket kiosk and at the Spa cafetaria accross from the garden you can buy small containers of honey water, which you can feed to the lories any time you like.
The lories have a coarse tongue to lick nectar and pollen from flowers. They mainly eat flowers, nectar, leaf buds, soft fruits and insects. They are active and inquisitive birds.
